Those who don’t like to be constrained by geographical borders while ordering will be delighted with Osaka’s wide ranging menu of fusion cuisine. Though it majors on Peruvian and Asian, pretty much every culinary discipline gets a look in – from teriyaki balsamic sirloin to ‘Nippon-style’ confit duck. On the fourth floor of the Santiago branch of Starwood Hotels’ renowned W brand, Osaka has a modern dining room with a young and super-trendy feel that mixes Latin and Asian aesthetics with pop art.

Chef Ciro Watanabe is of Japanese-Peruvian ancestry and is particularly skilled with sushi, blending global ingredients with perfectly prepared rice and indigenous marine species. The eclectic drinks list complements the food: Osaka has a huge wine cellar with a good selection of sake alongside a solid whisky and cocktail list.
